About Us
Maths Doctor is a specialist provider of private maths tuition. It is run by a small team of fully qualified and experienced school teachers based in Brighton and Hove, Sussex.
We offer a wide range of services including: One-to-one home tuition; Exam coaching; Live internet tuition; Self study programmes; Preparation for Oxbridge entrance exams; Consultancy and freelance work for schools.
We support pupils of all ages and levels of ability. Our current clients include students from primary school, secondary school, sixth form college, university and adult learners.
Our programmes can either be used as support alongside a school or college course, or can be taken independently towards a full qualification, such as a GCSE. The ability to obtain qualifications solely through Maths Doctor is ideal for independent adult learners, home schooled or gifted pupils.
Our Philosophy
A Pupil's opinion of maths and belief in their abilities are based primarily on their experiences at school. When a pupil's confidence and results are lower than desired, they can be helped, the solution however is not to subject them to more of the same.
The crucial and necessary first step towards improving results in exams, is improving enthusiasm, confidence and commitment.

Maths Doctor provides specialist maths tuition designed for the individual. We offer both traditional forms of tuition for the more academically minded pupil as well as a range of alternative approaches for pupils that are not responding well to what is offered by schools.
